DR. DALBIR BHARTI
Dr. Dalbir Bharti was born on 14th April 1960 in village Banmandori, district Fatehabad, Haryana. He attended Government Primary School of his village and passed 5th Class and stood first in the Centre of five schools in the Board exams. He did matriculation from Government High School, Bhattu Kalan, a nearby town. He was married on 25th June 1975 to Sarla of the adjoining village Pilimandori. In order to get a job to support his family, he obtained a diploma in English Stenography in 1979 from Industrial Training Institute, Nathusari-Chopta, District Sirsa, Haryana standing first in the Institute.
He joined State Bank of India in March 1980 in clerical cadre on the basis of the banking services competitive examination. While serving in the Bank, he pursued his studies as a private student and did B.A. from Panjab University and M.A. (Political Science) from Kurukshetra University. On the basis of the Civil Services examination held by the UPSC, he joined the IPS in 1987 and was allotted Maharashtra cadre. While being in the IPS, he did LL.B. from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, standing first in the University. Thereafter, he did Ph.D on “The Constitution of India and Criminal Justice Administration” from the University of Mumbai.
